Many lasers are claimed to be rugged, but could we drop our Big Sky Laser brand Ultra in 25 gallons of water and then turn it on?
While our Ultra laser was never intended to operate underwater (and we used a bit of custom cabling for safety) we wanted to prove how impervious to moisture our Nitrosealed™ system really was.
We dropped our standard 532nm Big Sky Laser brand Ultra into a 25 gallon aquarium and then turned it on! While we caution against this, and we know your laser doesn’t have to face this situation, it is good to know an Ultra laser from Quantel is up to the rigors of extreme abuse.
