| Big Sky Laser Technologies changes its name to Quantel USA |

Big Sky Laser Technologies, Inc, the solid-state laser manufacturer based in
Bozeman, Montana , is changing its name to Quantel USA, Inc.
The company
Big Sky Laser was founded in 1982 and has been a 100% subsidiary of Quantel since 1998. It will continue to design and manufacture its
Big Sky Laser product line consisting of Ultra, CFR and Centurion – the compact and rugged solid-state lasers.

One of the goals of Quantel USA is to increase the footprint of the Quantel’s Industrial and Scientific product lines in the USA, which include such products as the modular YG980, the compact Brilliant, High Power Laser Diode arrays and the YLIA fiber lasers for industrial applications. |

| New warranty conditions on Ultra, CFR, and Twins BSL |
|
| Quantel is glad to announce the new warranty terms on CFR, Ultra and Twins BSL standard products.
The warranty on optics is now lengthened to 1 year (previously 3 months) and the warranty on flashlamps to 50 million shots (previously 20 million shots).
These new warranty terms apply to the systems leaving production from December 1, 2008.
