JOB SUMMARY:
Manage sales in a designated North America Region for Quantel by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Other duties may be assigned.
Define and execute a territorial sales strategy to meet sales and margin targets for region. Prospect new opportunities in research, industrial, and OEM customers to promote full product line. Complete ownership of sales process in region from trade show coverage, lead generation, positioning of product, evaluation of sales opportunity, customer procurement, and post-sales support. Manage OEM accounts from sales through receivables as assigned by sales management. Provide accurate opportunity and territory forecast based on both prospect pipeline and market analysis. Attend trade shows and conferences as required by management. Work within established policies of Sales-Product Line manager business model to ensure customer satisfaction.COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
B.S. or higher in Physical Science, Engineering or Lasers/Electro-Optics; or ten years of professional sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work from remote location with only field supervision. Must be willing to relocate both on an initial assignment and as required by the needs of the business. Current valid drivers license that meets requirements of company insurance policy. *** Citizenship or permanent residency required to access some customer facilities ****Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Knowledge of optical and laser principles Preferred experience with industrial laser technology. Previous consultative sales training desired. Experience with computers and CRM required. Must have rated an over all “Meets all Position Expectations” on the most recent employee performance appraisal.
